Love the Library...

Girl comes in every day asking if the book she requested is here yet.
Book finally arrives.
Excitedly tell girl before she asks that her book is here.
Girl looks at me like I am stark raving mad...says, "What book?"
"Moonrise" I say.
"Oh, I don't need that anymore."

Holiday Shopping

Girl who barely looks familiar at Kohl's: "Oh, you work at my school!!" Comes over and hugs me and then says, "But I don't remember your name."
Me: "It's Mrs. Gaskell and what is your name?" Now I will have to try to remember it!

Student: "Do you see that girl?"
Media Specialist: "Yes."
Student: "I think I like her."
Media Specialist: "Do you think so?"
Student: "Yes, could you tell her?"
Media Specialist: "Sorry, match making is not a service we provide. You'll have to tell her yourself."
